High performing teams take work. Whether a team is highly functioning and wants to take it to the next level, or a team is in conflict needing to understand the dynamics and begin to bridge the gaps toward high performance, team building is critical to sustained organizational success.

Working in teams can be challenging. With differences and competing priorities, communication and trust, may be plentiful, or at an all time low.

So why, if working in teams is so hard, would any organization want to invest in teams?

  1. Employees are any company’s greatest asset and therefore worth investing in.
  2. High performing teams create synergy and often produce better results through differing perspectives, collaboration, distribution of workloads and responsiveness.
  3. High performing teams are focused on results, have a shared commitment and have a stronger sense of purpose.

Teams are important, therefore team building IS important.

Team building does not have to be adrenaline pumping and scary. It simply needs to focus on the core needs of the team to trigger a real behavioral shift. At Satori we work with teams, some teams require an intervention to really dig into the root cause of the team dynamics or dysfunction while others simply need time to build on their foundation to keep it solid. Whatever the case, Satori Consulting Inc. is equipped to support your team as they discover a higher level of greatness.

When it’s experiential, your team develops to teach itself – we help establish a team culture that breeds greater teamwork. Our team of training experts facilitate the process and practical exercises for maximum effectiveness and learning.

The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team

The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team™ has a simple goal: To help people discover how to build a truly cohesive and effective team. Based on Patrick Lencioni’s internationally best-selling leadership fable The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, this assessment-based program focuses on putting The Five Behaviors™ model into practice.

Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI)

The TKI is designed to measure a person’s behavior in conflict situations. “Conflict situations” are those in which the concerns of two people appear to be incompatible. In such situations, we can describe an individual’s behavior along two dimensions: (1) assertiveness, the extent to which the person attempts to satisfy his own concerns, and (2) cooperativeness, the extent to which the person attempts to satisfy the other person’s concerns. The TKI has been the leader in conflict resolution assessment for more than thirty years.
